✨ Explore Verona
We’re so excited to celebrate with you in beautiful Verona! If you’re spending a little extra time here, we’ve pulled together some ideas to help you make the most of your trip.
🌟 Must-See Sights
Arena di Verona – An ancient Roman amphitheatre (even older than the Colosseum!) that still hosts concerts and opera. Well worth a visit.
Piazza delle Erbe – A lively square with colourful markets, cafés, and gorgeous architecture. Perfect for an Aperol spritz stop.
Juliet’s House – Yes, it’s touristy, but the balcony is iconic. The surrounding streets are charming and worth a wander.
Castelvecchio & Ponte Scaligero – A medieval castle and bridge with stunning views over the Adige River.
Piazzale Castel San Pietro – Take the funicular (or hike, if you’re brave!) for the best panoramic view of Verona.
🍝 Food & Drink to Try
Aperitivo in Piazza delle Erbe – Early evening spritzes with little nibbles — a very Italian tradition.
Risotto all’Amarone – A local speciality made with Verona’s famous red wine.
Gelato – A must! We recommend Gelateria La Romana.
Valpolicella Wines – The region is famous for Amarone and Ripasso — perfect for a vineyard visit or just a glass in town.
🌿 Easy Day Trips
If you have more time to explore:
Lake Garda – Just 30–40 minutes away. Sirmione, Bardolino, or Lazise make for a gorgeous lakeside day out. Our absolute favourite place to go!
Venice – Only about an hour by train if you fancy ticking it off your list.
Valpolicella Wine Region – Book a wine tour and enjoy beautiful countryside and incredible reds.
